As Account Manager, you will be a key driver of client success and agency growth at Wake Media Ltd.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, understands the nuances of B2B marketing and communications, and is eager to apply that expertise within the maritime and offshore industries.

Day-to-day, the Account Manager will manage client activity across a portfolio of forward-thinking businesses, ensuring strategic alignment, project delivery, and measurable impact. You’ll work closely with core areas of the team—including communications, creative, client services, business development, and our extended freelance and partner network—to deliver integrated marketing programmes that meet client goals and support agency growth.

An understanding of the maritime, energy, or renewables sectors is highly valued, as is the ability to translate complex industry needs into clear marketing actions. You’ll be empowered to make recommendations, lead conversations, and deliver campaigns that support our goal of being the go-to agency for B2B maritime marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring excellent communication and relationship management.
  • • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • • Proactively identify client needs and propose relevant Wake Media services to meet their objectives.
  • • Monitor client satisfaction and address issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
  • • Conduct regular client reviews to ensure alignment with business goals and ongoing project success.
  • Account Growth and Retention
  • • Execute strategies for client retention and growth, in line with Wake Media’s strategic objectives.
  • • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services within existing accounts.
  • • Develop client-specific growth plans, incorporating data insights and market trends.
  • • Lead client presentations and proposal development to secure continued business.
  • • Conduct analysis of client performance metrics to inform growth strategies.
  • Business Development Support
  • • Assist the Business Development Director in targeting key market segments, including maritime, offshore, energy, and renewables.
  • • Identify new client prospects within existing accounts and support proposal development.
  • • Maintain accurate client records and pipeline data through CRM systems.
  • • Support lead generation efforts through targeted client engagement and outreach.
  • Campaign and Project Coordination
  • • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver client campaigns and projects on time and within scope.
  • • Manage the end-to-end client journey from project initiation to reporting and review.
  • • Develop comprehensive project timelines and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • • Coordinate reporting on campaign performance, including key metrics and client feedback.
  • Operational Efficiency and Innovation
  • • Contribute to the refinement of client services processes to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.

Events & Engagement Coordinator

Job Title:  Events & Engagement Coordinator

Reporting to:  Operations Director

Direct Reports  N/A 

As part of the Operations Support team, the Events & Engagement Coordinator supports the coordination, tracking and delivery of client, Wake Media and Marketing in Maritime event activity. The role works closely with Account Management, Communications and Operations teams to ensure agreed event plans are executed smoothly, on time and with minimal administrative burden on account teams.

The role is execution-focused, activated once event scope and objectives are agreed, and supports delivery across conferences, tradeshows, awards programmes, and virtual events.

This is a hands-on, varied role for someone eager to build a career in events/ or marketing, gain exposure to global projects, and grow within a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Delivery & Tracking

  • • Support the day-to-day management of confirmed events
    • Update event actions, deadlines and statuses to ensure delivery visibility
    • Track progress and follow up on outstanding actions to completion
    • Ensure project management platform remains an accurate and up-to-date source of delivery information
  • Translating Plans into Actions
    • Take agreed event plans and break them into clear, practical delivery tasks
    • Assign deadlines and support task owners to complete actions on time
    • Follow up on actions and escalate issues where delivery is at risk
  • Submissions, Materials & Deadlines
    • Coordinate event submissions including speaker details, award entries and organiser forms
    • Draft and adapt speaking abstracts or award copy with guidance from Comms
    • Submit materials, confirm receipt and update delivery status
    • Work to fixed deadlines and ensure requirements are met on time
  • Information & Stakeholder Coordination
    • Proactively chase required inputs from:
  • – clients
    – event organisers
    – suppliers
    – internal teams
    • Manage collection of speaker bios, headshots, registrations, artwork and schedules
    • Act as a central coordination point for delivery-related information
  • Event Logistics Support
    • Support practical logistics linked to events, including:
    – registrations and passes
    – basic AV or recording confirmations
    – exhibition or on-site requirements where applicable
    • Apply attention to detail to ensure key delivery requirements are not missed
  • Event Intelligence & Admin Support
    • Maintain and update the central events calendar
    • Research relevant industry events and share information with account teams
    • Support comparison documents and basic planning materials when required
  • Post-Event Admin & Reporting Support
    • Gather post-event data such as attendance, engagement and visibility
    • Support internal and client post-event reporting
    • Capture learnings to support future planning and delivery improvements
  • What This Role Is

  • In addition to supporting client event delivery, the role will also contribute to Wake Media Groups own marketing and industry engagement activity within the maritime and energy sectors. Over time, there will be opportunities to take increasing ownership of event planning and delivery, progressing towards project managing larger activations and overseeing end-to-end event execution and strategy as experience and capability develop.

About you

You are a highly organised and proactive Events & Engagement Coordinator who enjoys the detail and discipline behind successful event delivery.
You have hands-on experience supporting conferences, exhibitions, webinars or industry events, and understand how to turn plans into clear actions. You are confident managing timelines, coordinating submissions, chasing stakeholders for inputs, and ensuring deadlines are met without constant supervision.
You are methodical, calm under pressure and comfortable juggling multiple live events at different stages of delivery. You take ownership of tasks, follow through on actions and raise issues early if delivery is at risk.
You do not need to lead strategy or own client relationships, but you understand the importance of accuracy, follow-up and professional coordination. You enjoy being the person who keeps everything moving and ensures nothing is missed.

Digital Marketing Executive

Job Title:  Digital Marketing Executive

Reporting to:  Head of Marketing Operations

The Digital Marketing Executive will play a vital executional role within the digital and marketing operations team. You will support the delivery of high-performing digital campaigns across paid media, web, tracking, email and reporting. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being “on the tools”, is meticulous with detail and thrives in a data-driven environment. You won’t own client relationships directly, but you’ll work closely with Account Managers to provide visibility, insights and reliable delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Paid Media Campaign Execution (40%)

  • • Build, launch and optimise campaigns across LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, programmatic and trade media.
  • • Curate creative assets, apply UTMs, ensure correct tagging and maintain accurate campaign setup.
  • • Coordinate with publishers, manage deadlines and support delivery of digital and print media placements.
  • • Support email marketing campaigns via ActiveCampaign, including segmentation, scheduling and simple automation flows.
  • Digital Marketing & Web Support (20%)
  • • Update and maintain website content (Wake Media and Marketing in Maritime) using existing CMS templates.
  • • Build and test landing pages for campaigns.
  • • Apply basic SEO hygiene (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking).
  • • Conduct QA checks for new pages, links, forms, downloads and tracking.
  • • Coordinate creation and upload of digital campaign assets.
  • Marketing Operations & Tech Stack Support (20%)
  • • Support tracking implementation across UTMs, pixels, tags and conversions.
  • • Maintain dashboards and reporting views using GA4, Looker Studio, SEMRush and platform reports.
  • • Keep campaign documentation, naming conventions and folder structures organised.
  • • Assist with CRM tasks such as list uploads, segmentation and data hygiene.
  • • Prepare assets, audiences and triggers for marketing automation workflows.
  • Optimisation & Performance Management (10%)
  • • Monitor campaign pacing and performance across key KPIs (CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, conversions).
  • • Optimise bids, budgets, audiences and creative following internal guidelines and direction from the Head of Marketing Operations.
  • • Execute A/B tests across ads, landing pages and email.
  • • Proactively flag risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Reporting & Insights (5%)
  • • Produce weekly and monthly reports with performance commentary and actionable recommendations.
  • • Provide insight summaries for Account Managers to include in client communications.
  • • Support roll-up and cross-channel internal reporting.
  • Collaboration & Workflow (5%)
  • • Work closely with the Head of Marketing Operations on QA, processes and performance direction.
  • • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure assets meet platform and tracking requirements.
  • • Provide delivery visibility to Client Services using structured workflows and documentation.
  • Success in the First 3–6 Months
  • • Confidently running paid campaigns with minimal supervision.
  • • Maintaining clean tracking, UTMs and dashboards.
  • • Producing accurate reports and actionable performance insights.
  • • Delivering consistent, error-free execution across platforms.
  • • Working seamlessly with Account Managers, creative teams and digital leads.

About you

Must Haves

• 2–4 years’ experience in digital marketing, paid media or performance marketing (agency or in-house).
• Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Campaign Manager or Google Ads (one required; both ideal).
• Confident using a CMS (e.g. WordPress or Umbraco).
• Basic understanding of on-page SEO best practice.
• Comfortable using GA4 and interpreting key performance metrics.
• Familiarity with UTMs, tagging, reporting processes and marketing workflows.
• Experience supporting email campaigns and segmentation.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, dependable and comfortable working across multiple channels and deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to support internal teams effectively.

Nice to Have (Preferred but Not Required)

• Experience with programmatic advertising or DSPs.
• Experience with trade media trafficking or publisher coordination.
• Exposure to Google Tag Manager or pixel/tag implementation.
• Experience with CRM segmentation or data hygiene.
• Ability to update or adapt Looker Studio dashboards (templated).
• Working with developers or briefing technical tasks.
• Additional SEO knowledge or experience with keyword research.
• Exposure to B2B sectors, ideally maritime, energy or industrial markets.
