Development of the brand identity and web platform for a new marine sector technology forum

The key objectives of this campaign were to create a brand identity, tagline, and website for the ‘Marine Technologies Forum’.

The Challenge

To assist in the formation of a new industry advisory group that will provide technical and regulatory expertise for the benefit of the marine sector.

The key objectives of this campaign were to create a brand identity, tagline, and website for the ‘Marine Technologies Forum’.

The Maritime Technologies Forum (MTF) is a group of Flag States and Classification Societies that serves the purpose of fostering sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies in the maritime sector in a safe and cost efficient manner. The Forum focuses on essential topics for the future of the maritime industry, including energy efficiency, alternative fuels, and autonomous ships. Members will collaborate on research and draw on their collective expertise to offer unbiased and expert advice to the shipping sector. The Forum’s work will be published, and members will share insights and guidance to support the testing and safe adoption of new technologies, while helping to shape world-leading regulation.

Our Approach

Wake Media worked with the founding members of the MFT to develop the Forum’s brand identity and a web platform.

Key services delivered included brand identity design, website design (conducted by Bray Leino) and website development (conducted by Mission Made). A key objective when developing the web platform was to ensure that it excites and engages with key stakeholders in the marine sector.

Our approach was to create an intuitive website that could host a variety of different information formats. This includes whitepapers and press releases that can be uploaded and displayed as and when they are published.  The web platform will be used to support the launch of the Forum.

Wake Media also developed a supporting press release and a concept whitepaper for distribution ahead of the official Forum launch.

Impact

The MTF brand, website, press release and whitepaper supported the successful launch of the new marine industry forum. The campaign successfully engaged with key industry stakeholders.

“Thank you to the Wake Media and Bray Leino teams for providing vital support in the launch of our new industry forum. Developing the brand identity and subsequent website was an easy process and the content produced has been successful in engaging prospective members and raising our profile in the industry.” Said Nicola Good, Marine Technologies Forum.
