Wake Media’s Experience at The Royal Marsden’s Ever After Garden

Last year, as the cold December air settled over London, Wake Media had the privilege of volunteering at The Royal Marsden’s Ever After Garden.

This beautiful garden in Mayfair’s Grosvenor Square was a tribute to love, loss, and hope. It was decorated with over 25,000 radiant white roses that cast a serene glow over the city streets. More heartwarming than its aesthetic appeal is that it raised a staggering £418,000 in 2023, marking its most successful year yet.

For four consecutive winters, the Ever After Garden has invited visitors to commemorate their loved ones and contribute to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Inspired by the late Michael Howells, a visionary in production design and championed by luminaries like Anya Hindmarch CBE and Camilla Morton, this garden serves as a sanctuary for remembrance and reflection.

Debbie Fortune, Office Manager at Wake Media, shared her thoughts on volunteering for this noble cause, emphasizing the profound sense of honour it instils. She stated, “Volunteering at the Ever After Garden in support of The Royal Marsden charity event is truly an honour, providing a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a cause that significantly impacts people’s lives.”

Wake Media has a strong connection to The Royal Marsden, as several members of our team have had close family members stay there. This connection deepens our commitment to supporting the remarkable work of the charity.

As Wake Media, they stand in awe of the Ever After Garden’s ability to unite individuals in a shared journey of remembrance and resilience. If you’re based in London and would like to join them in supporting this vital cause, they encourage you to get in touch.

Let’s continue illuminating hope and honour the everlasting legacies of those we hold dear.
